This letter is regarding Mrs. Kelli Aker for your consideration of employment. I have known Mrs. Aker as a co-teacher at Somerset Academy - Lone Mountain during the 2019/2020 school year. Mrs. Aker is assigned to me as a mentee and also in my 7th grade English/Language Arts classroom as a co-teacher working with the special education population within the general education setting. Mrs. Aker joined our staff in January of this school year. 

Mrs. Aker has shown that she is able to enter a new situation, assess, and determine needs in a fairly short time. She has truly been an asset to the classroom as she has a solid understanding of the needs of the students as well as the needs of the general education teacher. Mrs. Aker is able to meet multiple deadlines concurrently while managing current and new tasks as they emerge. I would describe Kelli as focused and flexible. While in her position at Lone Mountain, she has had the charge of more than 20 students with a variety of needs in and outside of the classroom, and she has been exceedingly successful at building rapport with them, and discovering strategies for each of them, individually, in order to help them be as successful as possible. 

As a teammate, Mrs. Aker is collaborative, and she  is a strong team player with assets in her communication as well as her openness and willingness to participate when there is a need. Kelli has shown that she is 100% driven and involved in whatever the task is at hand. She is always “present”.
